Mouse clicking and dragging puts strain on the forearm and hand, which can lead to repetitive strain injuries. Keyboard shortcuts are a fantastic way to reduce mouse use; they lower the risk of developing rsi and allow you to work faster into the bargain. You can also use shortcuts to speech-enable your favourite software by creating special voice commands.
