Trados FL6.0
Trados is my favourite at the moment because it's easy to use with speech recognition.
TransSuite 2000
TransSuite 2000 is a CAT (Computer Aided Translation) tool which supports
TMX and OpenTag. It makes sure that you never have to translate the same
sentence twice. While you are working, the system learns the language.
The more you translate, the less you have to translate.
Wordfast
Wordfast is a Translation Memory engine available for Microsoft Word on
PC and Mac. Registration is free at this time and allows you to use
Wordfast without any limitation of time/ features on your current
Microsoft Word installation.
Babylon
For its really useful currency, measurements and time converter.

PractiCount
PractiCount does word count in single files, folders and folders with
subfolders. Counts text in footnotes, endnotes, headers, footers and
textboxes.
Translator's Office Manager
Manage your addresses, projects, finances, correspondence and schedules
efficiently - and save time doing so!
Veritime
VeriTime is a task/activity time tracking application. It enables you to
keep track of time spent and to record a description of the action
performed. It has a to-do list for those urgent items that need attention.
Multiple clients may be specified as well as multiple projects per client.
FreePDF
A great tool to convert documents such as invoices and resumés into PDF format.

Color Picker
Color picker for high-resolution monitors, has a magnifier attached.
WS_ftp
Transfer files between local and remote systems. Also available as free limited
edition. Search for WS_FTP LE on ZDNet's
downloads section.
Xenu's Link Sleuth
Xenu's Link Sleuth (TM) checks websites for broken links. Link verification is done on "normal" links, images, frames, plug-ins, backgrounds, local image maps, style sheets, scripts and java applets.
miscellaneous
Windows Grep
Windows Grep is a tool for searching files on your disks for occurrences of text strings that you specify.
It is extremely useful to search in for instance the Microsoft glossaries.
Norton Antivirus
Don't forget to update your virus definitions, if possible on a daily basis.
ZoneAlarm
Firewall to protect your computer against hackers.
